Dallas criminal attorney Frank Perez hired to defend Buc’s cornerback Aqib Talib

Talib, professional cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is taking legal precautions after being arrested in connection with gun shots fired at a family member’s boyfriend.

After reluctantly surrendering to Texas police, Talib began retaining a legal support team that includes Dallas criminal defense attorney Frank Perez. He’s since been released from Garland jail after posting his $25,000 bail.

Initial statements corroborate that Talib’s mother, Okolo, also being charged with assault with a deadly weapon, may be solely responsible for the shots fired. Talib’s attorneys are declining to comment at this time.
